Who is Greg Seeley

Greg Seeley is a Democrat running for New Mexico State House District 27. Greg is a husband, father, public servant, and retired US Air Force Veteran with a proven track record of success. Among many roles, most recently Greg served as the Federal Funding Coordinator for the City of Albuquerque helping to secure tens of millions of dollars in federal funding for projects across Albuquerque including the Gibson Health Hub, the CABQ Violence Intervention Program, CABQ Office of Equity & Inclusion and the Albuquerque Rail Trail. Greg's experience at the local and federal levels of government make him a uniquely suited candidate for State House, a candidate who can offer New Mexico new leadership, courage to tackle big problems, and new energy to innovate and find solutions to the most complex issues affecting our community.

Greg's Story

Greg grew up in what is now NM House District 27 in the northeast heights of Albuquerque, New Mexico. In total over the last 35 years, Greg has lived at five different locations all within the current boundaries of NM House District 27. Greg attended Albuquerque public schools and the University of New Mexico. Greg enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 2005 and served on active duty for 11 years, including a year-long deployment to Afghanistan for which he was awarded the Meritorious Service and US Air Force Combat Action medals. 

Greg was medically retired honorably from active duty in December 2016 and soon began working for the New Mexico Veterans Integration Center a non-profit serving Veterans & Military Families across the state. After leaving active duty Greg began volunteering for numerous campaigns at the local, state & federal levels to help elect Democrats in New Mexico. 

in February of 2019 Greg moved careers to join the public sector and has since worked in multiple roles over the last 7 years at the Federal and Local levels of government. Greg's public sector service includes Federal Funding Coordinator for the City of Albuquerque, Field Representative for US Senator Ben Ray Luján’s office, and Military Legislative Aide to U.S. Congresswoman Deb Haaland. Greg founded and now works as a consultant for Guardian Consulting Group, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. He lives in the NE Heights with his wife, Jessica, their three sons, and their two dogs Charlee & Sophie.
